Ah Wonderful, Ah Wonderful, Ah Wonderful
USC quarterback Mark Sanchez became the sixth player in school history to be named Pac-10 player of the week three times, at least since records became available in 1984.
Here is the list.
2008--QB Mark Sanchez
2005--TB Reggie Bush
2002--QB Carson Palmer
1998--CB Antuan Simmons
1992--WR Curtis Conway
1988--QB Rodney Peete
Notes: All were Offensive Players of the Week, except Simmons
(Defensive)...None except Sanchez were honored 3 times within the
first 6 weeks of the season...Peete was honored 3 consecutive weeks
(the final 3 weeks of the regular season)...No USC player has been
honored 4 times in a season

That amount of players seems low. Do you mean twice in a season? Or maybe three times in a season?
Nice Jim Healy reference though.

There have been a lot more pac 10 players of the week from USC then these 6. Good reporting Scott, jackass.
Stick the being a weird old troll that only talks about cheerleaders, dude.
Leinhart never a conference player of the week?
This is the third time Sanchez has been POTW.
This is the third time Sanchez has been POTW.
That's how I recall it as well, that this is Mark's 3rd time he has been named Pac-10 player of the week.
All in all, a strange post by Scott Wolf. But we are getting used to them, I suppose.
T&T, thanks for jumping on it. Like you, when I read the headline I said "say what"? Does he mean "being named player of the week" at least twice in the same season? Thank goodness SW goes back checks what he blogs. Oh yeah, he doesn't. Fight On!
I love it.
Thanks everyone for chiming in and continuing to expose this factual trainwreck.
I see Mr. Scott has corrected his post to read "three times."
You can always count on our boy Scott to be right on top of things.
"USC quarterback Mark Sanchez became the sixth player in school history
to be named Pac-10 player of the week three times,
at least since records became available in 1984."
Not sure what you are all angry about. It's called reading comprehension.
To me, it indicates that the PAC 10 is not very deep in individual talent this year.
The corrected post makes sense now...
CURTIS CONWAY!!
It can't all be about comprehension, Cheatthesystem, some of it has to come from deduction. Having seen this post for the first time at 2:20, I have deduced that:
a) Scott's original post read something along the lines of, "USC quarterback Mark Sanchez became the sixth player in school history to be named Pac-10 player of the week, at least since records became available in 1984."
b) Scott amended the aforementioned post to reflect the "three times in a season".
c) By the time the original post was fixed, many readers had already corrected the venerable Mr. Wolf.
Don't be so quick to get on the case of the readers. As I have discovered after much time spent on this blog, the readers are normally much more informed than Scott. When in doubt, blame Wolfie.
By the way, I (like so many other readers) come here more to read what fellow Trojan fans have to say than for Scott's take.
It's not a big deal, but....
My original and first response copied down Wolf's inaccurate original post so that some meatball would not accuse me of poor reading comprehension.
Scott corrected it, obviously, after he fixed his post.
Even us CS Fullerton guys can read a little bit!
Bring back Titan Football!
Go Dodgers!
shows how bad the talent is this year in Pac 10
