The sad thing is that I was a student at UCLA when these kids were born. When did I get so old?

More walk-ons will be coming after UCLA plays its first game. An NCAA rule limits the numbers of players at practice to 105, until the first game, and then more can join the mix.

Brian,

When are you going to get on Petros and $ or Big Joe's show on am 570? They are the Bruins station. The UCLA folks the bring on are not as dialed in as you are.

Thanks,

PR

Justin Mann is my pick for walkon most likely to get into a fight. He was a starting MLB two years ago and even up to this past high school preseason was a MLB. But by the time spring rolled around, he had DT size and played in the area East/West game on the dlineman. He even has some highlites on YouTube.

About Inside UCLA

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
