Merrick, Kim, Stadler in top-10

Anthony Kim (who grew up in Studio City), John Merrick (UCLA) and Kevin Stadler (USC) all shot first-round 70s today to move into a tie for ninth place after the first round of the PLAYERS championship. Kim just won his first PGA Tour event at the Wachovia Championship on Sunday.
