Monday morning brew...

Good morning...pour yourself some coffee and let's dish!
This "High School Musical" kid, Zac Efron, is a real paparazzi fave these days. Somehow, him buying a Starbucks or putting gas in his car is like, newsworthy. I guess with Lindsay in rehab, it frees up entire parts of the photogs day and following around Britney all day has gotta get old, doesn't it? So here is Zach, also a star of "Hairspray," at Saturday night's Dodgers game with second baseman Jeff Kent. Zach always has that big smile on his face, looks so happy. Let's just hope it stays there...
...Meanwhile, there is Britney. There's always Britney. I will note that her upcoming album is said to be not so bad so we'll have to see if it helps her recover from the VMA debacle. Over the weekend, she - followed by paparazzi, of course - got lost in Malibu. I dunno, I'm just passing it along...In other train wreck news, Pam Anderson - divorced from Tommy Lee and Kid Rock - is apparently considering marrying Rick Salomon. He's the dude who is with Paris Hilton in the infamous sex tape and was once married to Brenda Walsh from "90210." I'd send them a wedding present but they'd probably be divorced before it even arrived...Paula Abdul, 45, is saying she wants to have a baby. Hmmmm. ...and speaking of babies, Melissa Etheridge may already be a mom to two older kids, but having twins with wife Tammy "is a whole different ball of wax"...DeWayne "The Rock" Johnson must be feeling even more studly than usual this morning. His Disney comedy, "The Game Plan," kicked butt at the box office making the way higher-than-expected $22.7 million. Wow! It has been expected to finish behind the Jamie Foxx action flick "The Kingdom" which was second with $17 million...And finally, I want to write about a guy whose been a star for more than 40 years and he's a grandfather. Think I'm talking about Tony Bennett or somebody older like that? Nope, it's Donny Osmond! He's landed a new gig as the "Dancing with the Stars" correspondent for "Entertainment Tonight." His sister Marie, of course, is one of the contestants so that should be fun to see them interact. I like Donny - still as cute as he ever was - because he's a showbiz survivor. He's still putting out albums - good ones - and taking different kinds of gigs whether it's appearing on stage or hosting a game show. He's very likeable and a welcome presence on television.
