From the overnight LAPD significant crimes report.


  • A robbery was reported Aug. 10 at 3:50 a.m. in the 8100 block of Langdon Avenue in Van Nuys. Four men used a scooter and a knife to attack someone. The victim suffered a broken arm and a cut. It was unknown if the incident was gang related. The police say it went down when the suspects approached the victim, pulled a knife and began to beat him with a scooter. The suspects took the victim's property, then caught up with two of the suspects.

  • A second robbery was reported on Aug. 10 at 10:35 p.m. in the 22700 block of Vanowen Street. The suspect, described as male black, entered the location, pulled a pistol and demanded money, then took off in an unknown sedan. It was unknown if the incident was gang related.
